Alice Lodging is named after our founder’s great aunt, Alice, a woman known for her exceptional standards, timeless taste, and unwavering attention to detail.
Her home was always ready. Not just “clean,” but truly guest-ready – welcoming, thoughtful, and consistently maintained to a standard that never wavered. Every detail mattered, from presentation to comfort to the feeling guests experienced the moment they walked in.
Those who knew her also knew something else: this didn’t happen by accident. It took intention, discipline, and pride in the outcome. Alice believed that if you were going to host, you did it right each and every time.
And while Alice set the standard, her husband Dan was known for being… less detail-oriented (a bit of a slob). Which only made her consistency that much more impressive! It also reinforced a simple truth: great hospitality doesn’t happen by chance, it’s created through care and discipline.
